J&K Tackle is centrally located virtually in the heart of England. Oxfordshire is a jewel of a county for fishing, boasting some of the nation's finest & most well known fisheries. The staff at J&K fish all these venues (as well as some further afield) and are more than happy to offer advice, tactics and suggest appropriate tackle.

Oxfordshire is blessed with three of the best specimen carp fisheries in the country. The world famous Linear Fishery is just down the road from us at Stanton Harcourt, and many anglers visit us en-route to purchase bait or that new bedchair! Linear offers a number of mature gravel pits famous for day ticket specimen Carp fishing, but also home to large Pike, Catfish, Tench, Chub, Roach & Perch to name but a few.

About 2 miles from Linear is the much talked about Syndicate Fishery Linch Hill, a real hotspot for the big fish angler. Be it massive Carp in Christchurch, record nudging Roach in Willow, or monster Bream, Tench & Pike in Stoneacres, the venue has something to offer everybody.

Just the other side of Oxford is Marsh Pratley's superb Orchid Lakes complex, dubbed the "home of the thirties" and available to fish to all on a day ticket. No Serious Carper will need introducing to this attractive treelined water.

Oxfordshire is also the home of some stunning estate lakes, like the world renowned Blenheim Palace lake. The quality of the lake's Tench, Bream and Pike fishing is legendary, and this water is available on a day ticket for boat angling. J&K Tackle are able to offer day tickets for the beautifully tranquil Manor Lake, situated on the elegant Kirtlington Park Estate, and the scenic Heythrop Park Top lake, offering excellent traditional mixed fishing.

For those seeking the more "exotic" species, a short journey up to Claydon House lake offers some of the UK's original Catfish stocks, plus the notorious Zander.

For the river angler, the Thames needs no introduction. This magnificient river winds its way across the county, offering first class specimen Barbel fishing in its upper reaches, whilst stretches near Oxford have hit the headlines in recent years with a succession of giant Chub.
There are also a number of beautiful tributaries like the Cherwell, Windrush, Evenlode, Thame, Ray and Ock, all offering wonderful fishing opportunities.

The pleasure anglers are more than catered for with a whole array of commercial stillwater fisheries, where fun can be had catching fish all day long. Waters like Pimlico Farm, Oakfield, Field Farm, Nellbridge, Fernhill Farm and Cheney Manor for example, are all within easy reach of J&K.

Last but not least, the Canal angler has miles and miles of the Oxford Canal to explore. British Waterways also control Clattercote & Boddington Reservoir's, which are an easy journey north from us.
